Seals & Crofts ‎- Summer Breeze (1972) BS 2629 - US 1st Pressing - LP/FLAC In 24bit/96kHz - REPOST

Seals & Crofts ‎- Summer Breeze
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC + cue | 24bit/96kHz/900mb
Label: Warner Bros. Records/BS 2629 | Released: 1976 | Genre: Country-Folk

Summer Breeze offered an unusually ambitious array of music within a soft rock context – most artists tried to avoid weighty subjects in such surroundings (except, of course, CSN or Simon & Garfunkel, who could pretty much get away with anything). The title track is one of those relentlessly appealing 1970s harmony-rock anthems, in the same mode as the Doobie Brothers' "Listen to the Music" and appropriately ubiquitous on the radio and in the memory; the guitar (electric and acoustic) and vocal hooks are all well-nigh irresistible. The rest varies in sound and focus.

The original idea was for Art Garfunkel to record an album of songs written by Jimmy Webb. But when the leadoff single, "Crying in My Sleep," failed to make the charts, Columbia Records withdrew the album and induced Garfunkel to put together a cover of Sam Cooke's "(What A) Wonderful World" with Paul Simon and James Taylor harmonizing. The single and a revised version of the album then made the Top 40.
Simon & Garfunkel ‎- The Graduate (1968) Columbia Masterworks/OS 3180 - US Pressing - LP/FLAC In 24bit/96kHz - REPOST

Simon & Garfunkel, Dave Grusin ‎- The Graduate (Original Sound Track Recording)
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC + cue | 24bit/96kHz | 900mb
Label: Columbia Masterworks/OS 3180 | Released: 1968 | Genre: Soundtrack/Country-Rock

The soundtrack to Mike Nichols' The Graduate remains a key musical document of the late '60s, although truth be told, its impact was much less artistic than commercial (and, for that matter, more negative than positive). With the exception of its centerpiece track, the elegiac and oft-quoted "Mrs. Robinson" – which only appears here as a pair of fragments – the Simon & Garfunkel songs that comprise much of the record (a series of Dave Grusin instrumentals round it out) appeared on the duo's two preceding LPs; Nichols' masterstroke was to transplant those songs into his film, where they not only meshed perfectly with the story's themes of youthful rebellion and alienation (and the inner life of the central character, Dustin Hoffman's Benjamin Braddock) but also heralded a new era in movie music centered around the appropriation of past pop hits, a marketing gimmick that grew exponentially in the years to follow.
Simon & Garfunkel ‎- Bridge Over Troubled Water ‎(1970) Columbia/HC 49914 - US Pressing - LP/FLAC In 24bit/96kHz - REPOST

Simon And Garfunkel ‎- Bridge Over Troubled Water
Vinyl | LP Cover (1:1) | FLAC + cue | 24bit/96kHz | 900mb
Mastered With TLC At Half-Speed At The CBS Recording Studios
Label: Columbia/HC 49914 | Released: 1970 | This Issue: 1980 | Genre: Country-Pop

Bridge Over Troubled Water was one of the biggest-selling albums of its decade, and it hasn't fallen too far down on the list in years since. Apart from the gospel-flavored title track, which took some evolution to get to what it finally became, however, much of Bridge Over Troubled Water also constitutes a stepping back from the music that Simon & Garfunkel had made on Bookends – this was mostly because the creative partnership that had formed the body and the motivation for the duo's four prior albums literally consumed itself in the making of Bridge Over Troubled Water.

Essential: a masterpiece of Progressive rock music
I loved this album right from the very first notes.Yes this is unique and strange with these vocals that are mournful and urgent in a dark Acid Folk style similar to COMUS and JAN DUKES DE GREY but in a Krautrock style. Lots of floating organ and prominant bass with fuzzed out sounding guitar. The lyrics are meaningful and very well done. And hey these guys are from Austria ! A Krautrock band from Austria ?

Label: Missing vinyl/MV036 | Release: 1970 | This Issue: 2015 | Genre: Krautrock

Essential: a masterpiece of Progressive rock music
Not typical Krautrock but they definitely have something flavoured like desert or dry fruits, as we can hear via Krautrock.
Very theatrical, dramatic, and enthusiastic "Mass". We cannot always feel such a passion via Krautrock basically (understood that they belong to Eclectic subgenre rather than Krautrock). On the other hand, they launch psychedelic organ-based fuzzy muddy colours in front of them, that can be felt in lots of 60s- or 70s-oldie-goodie psychedelic pop / rock / progressive rock with symphonic spice. Credo suite leans toward this colourful atmosphere, strongly.

This is the history of JANUS, born as a progressive rock band made up of English musicians in Krefeld in Germany in 1970, retired broke and unknown in 1973, despite being signed to the prestigious EMI "Harvest" label, alongside such bands as Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, and Edgar Broughton…

Essential: a masterpiece of progressive rock music.
IKARUS were an early 6 piece Krautrock band who sang in English and featured sax, flute, clarinet, organ, piano and some strings besides the usual instruments. They just released this one album back in 1971, and it's interesting reading the lyrics to see how much they cared about the enviroment back then.
